Shaunna Mayers grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska where she dreamed of becoming a physical therapist. She attended Andrews University and earned her Bachelor's in Health Science in 2009. She continued her education at Andrews University and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011.

Upon graduation, Shaunna took a special interest in women's issues including breast cancer rehab, chronic pain, and pelvic floor therapy. In order to best serve her patients, she achieved additional certifications including: Lymphedema Certification through Klose Training in 2014, Manual Therapy Certification from North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) in 2016, and Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist for dry needling from MyoPain Seminars in 2017. She has also attended all three levels of Stecco Fascial Manipulation including manipulation for internal dysfunction.

Shaunna enjoys teaching various audiences including patients, patient educational seminars, women's groups, physical therapy students, and physical therapy assistant students. She was honored to receive the Clinical Educator Award from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016.

When she is not at work, you can find her spending time with family, camping, hiking, boating, and working on house projects.
