Dr. Stephen Schnoor is a Pennsylvania native who earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware, where he majored in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology and minored in Strength and Conditioning. Upon graduation, he earned his associates in Applied Science from Central Penn College in Summerdale, PA and was licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Stephen went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, VA in 2022, where he fell in love with the state of Virginia. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Stephen is passionate about sports and orthopedic physical therapy, evidence-informed practice, and promoting fitness and an active lifestyle for individuals of all ages. His goal for all of his patients is to optimize their quality of life by providing patient-centered care that helps them meet their goals. During his clinical rotations he learned from instructors who were residency trained Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialists and gained experience treating a variety of athletes throughout the rehab continuum.

Stephen participated in a variety of sports growing up including ice hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, fencing, and skiing. In his free-time he enjoys lifting weights, playing ice hockey, skiing, cooking, reading, and going for walks and hikes with his fiancé. He also enjoys watching hockey and writes blogs about his favorite team, the New Jersey Devils. He believes in a growth mindset and that each day should be viewed as an opportunity to improve, both as a clinician and a person.
